BOOKING: ARTIST INFORMATION

If you are an Artist, Painter, Illustrator, Animation Artist, Performing Artist, Photographer, or Sculptor read on..

We have teamed up with The Paul Engle Center have to feature artists of all kind from our area and beyond! We are commited to helping you, the artist, build awareness and have opportunity to exhibit and showcase your works. We are also excited to have you join our efforts to inspire a whole new generation of artists while expanding cultural awareness, diversity, and education.

We Want to feature you at an upcoming event.
Please read on for details on how to get your work featured on our site and upcoming events.

LOCAL ARTISTS : Send us a brief description of your works, age, location, performance running time, phone number, and website. If you do not have a website please include 3-5 jpgs of your work.

PERFORMING ARTISTS : If you are a performing artist please send us a brief description of your work or works, age, location, performance running time, phone number, and website. If you do not have a website please include 3-5 samples of your work. Compressed video files are good too.

OUT OF TOWN ARTISTS: It is best for you to appear in person ... but we understand this is not always possible. In this event we will work with you you may ship your work and materials. After your showing we will safely return them to you.

ABOUT "THE JACKBOX GALLERY": After your showing you may select 1-3 works to remain in our gallery for 1-3 months. If you are a performing or animation artist your work can be displayed with a monitor.

ONCE YOU ARE BOOKED, Then What?.....

Once you have a date booked please do the following to make sure your showing is as successful as it can be. This may seem like common sense to those of you who are touring and have been around for a while.. but you would be amazed at how many people do not do these things and then wonder why things didnt go very well...

PREPERATION: All artwork/photography must be properly framed unless on canvas.

COMMUNICATE SPECIAL NEEDS: If you will need anything special for your showingplease let us know.

SEND US PROMOTIONAL ITEMS: If you have general posters, postcards, stickers... we can get that all out for you to build awareness for your showing. If you are local.. you should be doing this yourself.

PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE: No one can promote your showing as well as you. So do it. Facebook, Myspace, emails, flyers, posters... get at it.

UPON ARIVAL: Set-up starts 2 hours prior to door. We encourage you to arrive promptly to allow enough time to arrange your work in "the gallery" Check in with JUSTIN or JASON when you arrive and they will assist you.

PAYMENT: You should have prints of your work to sell. Currently we are allowing artists to keep 100% of all your print sales. If you are selling original works we can assit you in setting prices and will simply ask a small percentage of the sale.

MERCHANDISE: If you have merchandise you will usually be able to keep 100% of those sales. This includes shirts, buttons, promos etc. We will have tables for you to set up your prints and business cards, etc.

ADVANCE INFORMATION: Once your showing is set you will be sent an email 2-3 weeks before the event which will have all details.

Can my family, girlfriends, etc get in free?
Yes, you are allowed to bring one person with you at the time of your arrival.

Will the event be all ages?
Yes, at this time every show we do will be all ages.
